Limestone Lodge is primarily a medicinal shade plant nursery. Since we are located in a native hardwood forest, we specialize in perennial plants that prosper in the shade, such as American ginseng, goldenseal, blue cohosh, black cohosh and nettles, among others. After the plant nursery opens for business about the middle of March, we offer classes on identification, propagation and historic use of the medicinal plants.
Camping cabins are available for visitors.
By popular request we now sell dried herbs in bulk, as well as a selection of herb teas served at Limestone Lodge. Our herbal products, gardening tools, books and other special items are available at Limestone Lolly's.
